Synthetic data and environment generation

Synthetic data and environment generation is the work of producing artificial examples and simulated settings that a model can learn from or be tested against. AI companies need it where real data is scarce, sensitive or too risky to collect, and where its usefulness can be measured.

Teams hit the limits of real data quickly. It is thin on rare cases, hard to share and slow to gather. So they make their own. The trouble is that artificial data looks convincing whether or not it is useful. Strong hires come from generative modelling, simulation, statistics or test engineering, and they insist on measuring utility. Be wary of anyone who treats synthetic origin as proof of privacy or accuracy.
