Data science, analytics and decision support
Data science, analytics and decision support is the work of turning data into decisions people can trust. AI companies need it to judge whether models, products and workflows are actually helping, and to say clearly where the evidence runs out.
AI products behave differently from conventional software. Outputs vary, usage shifts as models change, and success is hard to define. Founders are finding that standard dashboards and old metrics miss what matters. The tricky part is that many candidates look similar on paper. A strong hire frames the question before touching the data, knows the limits of a method, and can tell a sceptical colleague what the numbers do not show. Titles are inconsistent, so judge the work, not the label.
