AI product strategy and product management
AI product strategy and product management is the work of choosing which user problems are worth solving with AI, then steering viable products to market. It matters because a capable model is not a product, and most AI companies need someone to close that gap.
Building an AI feature is now cheap, so the hard part has moved to choosing what to build and knowing when it fails. Founders feel this first. The tricky part is that the title varies widely. Some candidates have only run conventional roadmaps, others only worship model novelty. Look for people who can name the cost of a wrong answer and say no to impressive demos that solve nothing.
