AI for physics, mathematics and astronomy

This family applies machine learning and formal reasoning to physical and mathematical research. AI companies need it where a model's output has to be checked against physical law, observation or proof, not just against a benchmark score.

Science teams inside AI companies want models that respect physical constraints and findings that hold up under scrutiny. Two of these roles are being hired for now. Two are still emerging. The difficulty is that the best people are trained scientists first and machine learning engineers second. Many can build a model. Fewer know when a result is real, when it is an artefact, and what evidence would settle the question. Titles rarely signal that judgement, so you have to test for it directly.
