Continual, adaptive and federated learning

Continual, adaptive and federated learning is the work of updating models as data arrives in sequence, or when the data sits with several owners and cannot be pooled. AI companies need it to keep models useful without retraining from scratch.

Models are deployed into settings where data keeps changing, or where customers will not hand over their data. Teams then need learning that adapts without forgetting, or trains across holders. The hires are tricky because the fields are narrow and the titles vary. Strong candidates test what a model retains, not just what it learns. Be careful with privacy claims. Federated training alone does not prove privacy, and that needs its own threat modelling and validation.
