Simulation, digital twins and physical AI assurance
Simulation, digital twins and physical AI assurance is the work of building virtual environments and proving that what works in them still works on real hardware. AI companies need it because a robot that only succeeds in a simulator has not yet shown anything useful.
More teams are training learned policies for robots and physical systems, and real-world testing is slow, costly and sometimes unsafe. Simulation fills the gap, but only if it behaves like the physical world. The tricky part is that polished visuals can hide weak physics. Strong candidates usually come from simulation, control, systems engineering or verification, and can show evidence of transfer, not just a convincing demo. Few people have done both the building and the checking.

Not to be confused with. Visual realism alone is insufficient evidence of physical fidelity.
