Telecommunications and network intelligence
Telecommunications and network intelligence applies learning and optimisation to how networks run and how services are delivered. AI companies need it because networks are complex, live and unforgiving, and general-purpose models do not understand them without specialist help.
Operators want AI that helps diagnose faults and tune radio behaviour, and AI companies selling into them need people who understand how networks actually work. Two roles are being hired now. Two are still emerging. The tricky part is that network changes need operational authorisation and rollback, so a clever model is not enough. Strong candidates usually come from telecom engineering, network operations or data science, and they respect the limits of a live network.
