AI policy, institutions and public accountability
This family covers the work of designing and testing the institutional rules that govern AI, from regulation and compute controls to public-sector accountability. AI companies need it to deal with governments credibly and to build oversight that holds up.
Governments, regulators and the public now ask AI companies hard questions about oversight, compute and accountability. Some of this work is established. Some is still taking shape. The tricky part is that candidates often come from policy, administration or technical governance, and few have done all three. A strong hire separates a proposal from current law, and can say what would actually happen at implementation.
