Language and multilingual intelligence

Language and multilingual intelligence is the work of modelling meaning, generation and behaviour across languages. AI companies need it because a model that reads well in one language can fail quietly in another, and customers notice.

Products now reach users in many languages, and the gaps show quickly. A model may translate fluently yet miss tone, local usage or what counts as appropriate. Hiring is tricky because the strongest people blend linguistic judgement with experimental discipline, and few have both. Check they can design a fair evaluation, explain a failure in a specific language, and say what they would not trust a metric to tell them. Some of this work is still emerging, so titles vary.
