Privacy-preserving and confidential AI

Privacy-preserving and confidential AI is the engineering work of reducing how much sensitive information leaks during model training and inference. AI companies need it because customers will not hand over private data without evidence that it stays protected.

Models now touch customer records, internal documents and personal data, and buyers want proof of protection before they sign. Founders feel this first in security reviews. The hires are tricky because privacy only means something against a defined adversary, and encryption alone does not settle it. Candidates often come from privacy engineering, security, cryptography or ML, and each brings only part of the picture. Look for people who ask who the attacker is before they pick a technique.
