Information integrity, authenticity and democratic resilience

Information integrity work looks at where AI-generated content comes from, how it has been changed, and what harm it can do to public trust. AI companies need it because their tools can make convincing media at scale.

Generative tools now make realistic images, audio and text cheaply, and the people who build them are being asked hard questions about misuse. Some of this work is hiring now, such as provenance engineering and forensics. Some is still taking shape, such as election risk. The tricky part is the mix of skills. Strong candidates often come from forensics, journalism, trust and safety or social research, and few have worked across all of them. Provenance also cannot prove that something is true, and good hires know that.
