AI assurance, audit and standards

AI assurance, audit and standards is the work of independently reviewing what is claimed about an AI system and testing the evidence behind it. AI companies need it because customers, regulators and partners increasingly ask for proof, not promises.

Buyers, regulators and procurement teams now ask AI companies to show their working. Founders get questions they cannot answer with a product demo. The hires are tricky because the field is young. Titles vary, and the scope of an engagement must be stated clearly. Independence matters too. An auditor who helped build the controls cannot credibly judge them. Strong candidates usually come from audit, assurance, quality management or technical risk, and have learned how AI systems fail.
