Chemistry, materials and process discovery

Chemistry, materials and process discovery is the work of building models that approximate how matter and reactions behave, then using them to decide what to make or test next. AI companies need it to turn predictions into real substances and processes.

Teams are moving from predicting properties to steering real experiments, and that needs people who understand both the model and the chemistry. The hiring is tricky because strong candidates are rare in both worlds. Model scores can look convincing while the chemistry is wrong, so chemical and physical validity need independent checks. Look for people who build those checks in from the start and say plainly where an approximation stops being useful.
